Tara

Aside from the corruption and obvious foreign involvement in the destruction of Tara as a city complex, Ireland itself is also in the same condition…in turmoil. Modern Ireland with its 32 counties is a Norman invention, before this it had provinces, some say four but the four had a central extra fifth province which encapsulated what is Meath and Westmeath today with over 250 very large Neolithic and contemporary sites. The other four provinces acknowledged the fifth as having a Spiritual and temporal role as a City within the four. In the middle of it was the hill of Tara a gathering place of the Chiefs of Ireland through the ages up until the modern era. Indeed Fianna Fail cited many of those Irish figures who have contributed to Irish history, a letter following shortly after the 2007 June gathering was sent to Fianna Fial and Fianna Gael, here are a few segments of it. The full letter is in Chapter 2 above, A and B (B As Gaelige) After the recent elections in Ireland (May 2007) the Fianna Fail director of elections PJ Mara cited his party’s tradition as following; - Wolfe Tone, Emmett, De Valera (the soldiers of the legion of the rearguard) “Fianna Fial” – “the soldiers of destiny”, he cited others stretching back to the age of Tara itself. “Fianna Gael” - “the soldiers of the Gael” were equally fervent in the elections, but raising no real opposition, and the soldiers of Eireann now sit in the Dial soldiering away content, but delusional that they are following that tradition.(Cormac Mac Airt, Brian Boru, Davitt, Emmett De Valera. etc) To build this motorway as currently planned means those in power are following in another tradition, not the one suggested by PJ Mara, Fianna Fails director of elections (the soldiers of the rearguard above) or Cormac Mac Airt, or Yeats or Thomas Davis or Boru or Davitt, but Oliver Cromwell and his ilk. The reality is (of course) Cormac Mac Airt, Yeats, Thomas Davis, Davitt, Wolfe Tone, Emmett, Michael Collins and De Valera all actually cited the importance of Tara, and the surrounding area and would have protected it, being as it is a bigger issue than politics or economics. The whole area should be considered a World heritage site.

It is clear that many Fianna Fail, and Fianna Gael TD’s oppose this motorway, in any route and some wish a new route as do many independent TD’s, but no matter whom you voted for in the general election, or which party you support or work for, this issue defines which tradition you follow, and it will be a lot more apparent than political rhetoric or pretence.

Yeats as one example along with Maud Gonne chased off the British Israelites who were digging up the Hill. They chased them with guns. http://www.indymedia.ie/article/71184 They would do the same today, and they would expect the Fianna to do the same. However one year on during the Summer Solstice 2008 and the people of Ireland are prevented from GATHERING on the hill of Tara by order of the Meath County council, in turn ordered by the Fianna ? Fail the Government?. People could not camp or remain on the hill as tradition over thousands of years dictate. A security firm comprising the Office of Public Works along with security team of Eastern Europeans (with no knowledge or authority of the area, as it was outside of the National Roads Authorities jurisdiction) employed by the national roads authority ?. Some protestors are of eastern European origin. Many of the security have abused and or attacked the Tara protestors including female protestors. They blocked every entrance, and even blocked the entrance to the Holy Well down from the hill…the aim was to prevent a gathering which might highlight the illegality of the new road, the M3. It also prevented the mass gathering which would highlight the ineptitude of the Government, and sealing Tara is central to what must be a foreign government also. The aim is to build a wall around Tara and charge entry into it !

The person with the ability and power to stop this desecration, but who will not, Minister for the Environment, heritage and Local Government and leader of the Green party John Gormely has Instigated “conversations” (you can ring them for the next meeting) “CONVERSATIONS about Architecture and THE BUILT Environment PUBLIC INVITATION to CONSULTATION MEETINGS on the NEW POLICY on ARCHITECTURE The Architectural Heritage Advisory Unit of the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government is currently developing a new policy on architecture, overseen by a Steering Committee appointed in 2007 by Minister of the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr John Gormley, T.D. The next step is to hear your views on how architecture should develop in the coming years. The Irish Architecture Foundation is coordinating a series of facilitated public meetings that are open to everyone to attend. Places are limited for all of these events”.

http://www.environ.ie/en/Heritage/ArchitecturalProtectionandHeritagePolicy/AdvisoryService/ It will be coming to a town near you soon, you will note on the site above there is a link to;

http://www.environ.ie/en/Heritage/Archaeology-NationalMonumentsService/ the Archeology – National Monument Service, is a Unit within the Architectural heritage department which amongst other duties is to protect national monuments and Archaeology?. At one of these meetings with the department (Department Of Environment, Heritage and Local Government present) and a Meath world heritage site representative present, aside from Architectural considerations which seemed to have a very poor appraisal, being as there is an outbreak of uniformly designed houses of little imagination breaking out all over Irish towns

(for more information see www.jinxlennon.com Who under the Videos and Music tab has sardonically and ironically described the outbreak of the houses everywhere, but who will probably not be invited to sing “Houses everywhere” or the “Septic Tiger” to the D.O.E. available on that link)

Houses everywhere are empty and are full of negative equity and many after a few years are falling down, and what there is have no taste. Alternatives were discussed, Green eco-friendly alternatives as opposed to the pseudo green versions of eco-friendly houses, with the most pertinent question being (even if prices fell 50% or more) “How could anyone on a normal wage afford them” ?... a question which goes to the beginnings of the banking practices of lending ten times or more the actual wage of the applicant, a problem which has caused (one of the causes) the banking crisis around the world. Corruption was also discussed and the lack of local input into planning with visibility and fairness. It was also discussed that heritage should not be plagued by the National Roads Authority overseeing Archaeological sites especially around Meath, when those sites if preserved, surveyed and very carefully excavated and rebuilt, would have become the wonder of the world, and provided a tourist boom. (lacking in the rest of Ireland due to the high prices Ireland has, but which in a recession is a further cause to worry that the recession will be even deeper). The concrete lobby should be helped by funding the change to more sustainable building, as regulation is forcing this anyway, this would provide building jobs at every level and re-training could also be helped by government. This coupled with the compulsory purchase of 2-3 acre plots (even self builds need supplying) will re-invigorate construction to affordable levels. Tourism is down, due to lack of planning (clean water and building design)and prices, along with construction and a lack of public jobs, all this with growing unemployment spells disaster

It would also have provided jobs and an alternative green and quicker smoother modes of travel under the Meath Master Plan, instead unless it is stopped now, we will be left with a road and no way to pay for the cars and oil to run them.

http://community.meath.ie/mahs/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=78&Itemid=1 Further and following the attempt of the Lisbon treaty to change the constitution, surely it is possible to change the Heritage laws signed into law by Dick Roach, which is a lesser matter than changing the constitution, the following poster was handed to those who attended (including Councilors, Planners, Architects and also ordinary peasants). (see next page) The question is and despite the European Court of Justice ruling on the Environmental Impact Studies matter, where is the EU or indeed Dail Eireann (the Dublin Government) on the Tara issue or indeed the economy. Injunctions should be instigated at every instance against this illegal and as Bono (U2) said himself bad idea of a road.

After the prevention of a large scale demonstration and traditional gathering at Tara for the Summer Solstice 2008, the intention is to place a large fence around the entire hill and charge people entry to it as they do at Newgrange. Will Fianna Fail director of elections PJ Mara cite his party‟s tradition as following; - Wolfe Tone, Emmett, De Valera (the soldiers of the legion of the rearguard) “Fianna Fial” – “the soldiers of destiny”, he cited others stretching back to the age of Tara itself. To date aside from the Green party the only other party to have vocally protested the M3 is Sinn Fein, as many also see the link between Tara's destruction and Ireland's wellbeing both culturally and economically

The people of Meath use Tara themselves everyday. GAA in schools for boys and girls train on it for fitness, the Puc Fada begins on it to Kilmessan, groups meet on it, people walk it with their children and for millennia the Irish have gathered there in times of crisis…what do FIANNA Fial do...they prevent people from staying on it (this is Public land and a legal right of way) and will eventually charge people entry to the hill encapsulated by a wall to keep people out. http://www.tarapixie.net/

for latest information

Gather round Parnellites…for Twelve Euros entry. That about sums up the FIANNA.Today of course that would be €12 million Euro profit for a typical Parnellite meeting...if they could get in. As mentioned at the beginning of the chapter “You‟re not allowed to talk about planning in the West; it‟s not allowed to exist” “The guys in power aren‟t idiots, after all. They do planning” Chomsky (2003) Therefore in the new expectation of a new white paper on Architectural conversations from the department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, is it not unreasonable to expect landscaping and the natural external architecture around us as a space, including the Archaeological heritage set within that landscape to also be included, protected, studied and emulated. A change that could be instigated straight away is the reversing of Dick Roach's monument act which sets heritage and monuments and archaeological sites into private hands at public expense and robs us of our wealth and admiration around the world. John Gormley can do this now, and we do not need to wait or need a white paper. Since the Summer Solstice in June 2007, Ireland has completely changed, the illusion that was created by apparent money like a story from the Fianna itself has evaporated leaving the true state of the country bare.

Therefore the protectors of Tara who have been vilified by the press and castigated have in fact been trying to protect Tara, Skryne the Gabhra valley, Meath and by Osmosis in fact Ireland Itself on every level Contrary to the media image many are professionals who have given their time on our behalf and do not take money for themselves (as the Tara appeal below will show on the next page). One immediate solution is to open up Tara again to people who wish to stay (as before) to help celebrate the Celtic year and let the public have free unimpeded use of the Hill of Tara. If the continuing present economic “Faery” story is to end then the whole country should get involved at every level.

Poets rightly lament the ancient spirit lost to the Celtic Tiger, but it will transpire that it is the other way around http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article3471385.ece In chapter 1 at the end it was suggested that one of the signatories of the 1916 rising Sean Mac Diarmada coming as he did from Leitrim must have heard his fair share of “Faery” stories, and even as late as last October Dick Roach was asked if he wanted an economic lesson, which is the meaning of the letter as cited in chapter 2 (a) above at its end. this issue defines which tradition you follow, and it will be a lot more apparent than political rhetoric or pretence. In chapter 2 above, the letter C (Tara appeal) is reproduced here again, (next page) its phone numbers are now corrected here below and its requests are still the same.

Save Tara, the Skryne Valley, and the Gabhra Valley. Can you help save Tara? The Save Tara campaign urgently requires any help and assistance any group, individuals, companies or charities can offer.

The Save Tara campaign is also online and can be seen in the following websites

http://www.savetara.com/ http://www.savetaravalley.com/ http://www.tarawatch.org/ http://www.protect-tara.org/ http://www.tarapixie.net/ Many people are keeping vigil on the Hill of Tara and surrounding area they all urgently require assistance to place temporary structures insitu to help them maintain their vigil throughout the year, and especially over the coming months. Assistance would comprise of helping to erect these structures, or supplying materials to enable their construction. It is hoped to build a sweat/heat lodge, (more than one) tepee(s), compost toilets, benders, showers and cooking facilities and also a separate children’s tepee or tent. Yurts are also urgently required. If you can supply any of these items (which will be returned when and if required) or supply your labour and your company, then please ring the camp vigil numbers below. Food, Tools, Warm Clothing, Phone credit, Fuel, Musicians, Bards, Poets, Songs, your Prayers and Blessings are also urgently required. Direct Action is also employed. The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Adopted by General Assembly Resolution 61/295 on 13 September 2007 also guarantees our right to engage in peaceful direct action to prevent destruction of the Tara landscape. Article 11 states: Indigenous peoples have the right to practise and revitalize their cultural traditions and customs. This includes the right to maintain, protect and develop the past, present and future manifestations of their cultures, such as archaeological and historical sites, artefacts, designs, ceremonies, technologies and visual and performing arts and literature. A Giant Harp made entirely of people was recently singing on Tara, photographed from the air it was a call to Eireann to protect its seven defences and over 60 sites of special cultural, spiritual, historical & archaeological interest

Success for the No Vote on the Lisbon Treaty…Why ? On the 8.7.2007 Eamonn Gilmore, the leader of the Labour party live in the Dail debate on the up and coming crisis and mini-budget said he was not going to engage with the government on “Faery” Stories, but by now he must be demanding that the whole country rise up with Hurleys and strike, like the Host of the Sidhe. In June 2007 at around the time of the Summer Solstice if you had said the Irish International Financial Centre (IFC) would collapse in December 2007 and have to be rescued financially, people would have said it was a economic “Faery” Story Well the No campaigners in the Lisbon treaty referendum simply told the truth and now that the No Vote is in, there seems to be a “period of uncertainty” in Ireland Do not worry though because the Referendum Committee have come to the rescue even before the first vote was cast. In Chapter 4 it was discussed that the booklet “The Lisbon treaty, Get the complete picture” was distributed throughout the homes of Erin. Cuir Tu Fein Ar An Eolas ( as the booklet states) Under the heading “What happens if you vote No” ?, on page 3 the Minister or the Environment, Heritage and Local Government and leader of the Green party Mr John Gormley has approved the following text from the booklet in his capacity as the person who established the referendum commission on 6.3.2008.

Page 3 “If a majority of the voters vote “no” then the Constitution will not be changed and Ireland may not ratify the Treaty. The treaty will come into effect only if it is ratified by all member states. The EU would continue to operate under its present rules” Thanks to John Gormley and the referendum commission for clarifying the period of uncertainty. Note the treaty will come into effect only if all members ratify it ….but the next day ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6QmH-7fu68&feature=related The EU President says (in the link above ) that the vote will not effect the ratification of the Treaty…what does the referendum commission mean in that case, why did it send this booklet to us, why would Mr Gormley and the Government mislead us and post out a misleading booklet to our homes…? The French and the Dutch rejected the same treaty in 2005, the Czech Republic (see link below) also do not wish to ratify the treaty, and the Germans are threatening the Polish as they do not wish to ratify either…so that‟s 22 countries left…what do they think ?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/czechrepublic/2128391/EU-referendum-Czech-president-says-Lisbon-Treaty-project-is-over.html

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7490233.stm  Its obvious what they think…NO ! and the question is not if they would vote NO, the question is why they would vote NO, and it is not a VOTE NO and forget two World Wars, it is a vote no to further avoid another world war.

55

The NO vote reflects the majority opinion throughout the 500 million people within Europe, and not the parliaments. If all people in Europe had a vote then we could accuse the EU of democracy, but we cannot. A view on this (repeated from previous chapters) “Now there are two functions in democracy: the specialized class, the responsible men, carry out, (1) Executive function, which means they do the thinking and planning and understand the common interests. (2) Then there is the bewildered herd, and they have a function in democracy too. Their function in a democracy, he said ( my insertion i.e. Walter Lippman), is to be „spectators‟ not Participants in action. But they have more of a function than that, because it‟s a democracy” “Occasionally they are allowed to lend their weight to one or another member of the specialized class. In other words, they are allowed to say. „we want you to be our leader‟. That‟s because it‟s a democracy and not a totalitarian state. That‟s called an election. But once they‟ve lent their weight to one or another member of the specialized class they‟re supposed to sink and become spectators of action, but not participants. That‟s in a properly fully functioning democracy. And there‟s a logic behind it. There‟s even a kind of compelling moral principal behind it. The compelling moral principle is that the mass of the public is just too stupid to be able to understand things” Chomsky (2002)

66

He continues.. “the bewildered herd basically have to be distracted. Turn their attention to something else.” and in the “new art of democracy”, when you cannot oppress the herd with violence the media as propaganda is employed instead so that; “Propaganda is to a democracy, what the bludgeon is to a totalitarian state” Chomsky (2002) “You‟re not allowed to talk about planning in the West; it‟s not allowed to exist” “The guys in power aren‟t idiots, after all. They do planning” Chomsky (2003) Presenting a new referendum in Ireland is unconstitutional and also undemocratic, not just in Ireland but also in Europe. Indeed the world over people do not a want a Plutocracy, and in Ireland people do not want to be dictated to by Europe, Britain or America or indeed Plutocracies in Dublin, they want real Democracy. Farmers and fishermen do not want increasing marginalisation, with less choice and variation of product, and prices which are unable to provide a living (as yet we do not produce for local markets, and export the excess) A new referendum will only produce a new NO vote and indeed an increased NO vote. In Ireland for over 800 years we have been dictated to by an undemocracy Britain. Ireland is dictated to by another undemocracy …America, and now a new undemocracy…Europe.

77

Its also a myth that Democracies (as Neo-liberal define democracies) do not go to war with each other. For a view of undemocracy and opposing it see John Pilgers 1) “War on Demcracy” and the 1999 Battle in Seattle documentary and also the film by Stuart Townsend

1) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3739500579629840148

2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JXPIBsxdk0

3) http://ie.indymedia.org/article/86312   The Undemocracies have more than one thing in common, but most of all they are or have been super militarized states, which have met their victims with brutality, injustice and imperialism. A key weapon in that war and for the eventual occupying regime has been the subjection to the eventual unfair trade and borrowing to ensnare and trap the victim (occupied country) into docility, even after their armies have left. Withdrawn armies are replaced by slavery to debt and credit, made possible by the myth of scarcity of land, money and food and forcing the victim to buy from the former colonists alone.

A good example of this is the story of Jamaica, see www.lifeanddebt.org  Europeans want a different model and there is still time to make it.

Whether Ireland is under the Plutocracy of America, Britain or Europe, it will only remain independent if its so called leaders actually negotiate, and this was not done for Lisbon. Manufacturing and large scale growing of its own crops for consumption at home, retention of small scale peat cutting, control over its own finance and free water supply and localised economy and control (by the public) of planning laws

88

and land are demands people need urgently. Controlling land of two to three acres, (minimum) and giving it to young people to build upon (with eco-friendly designs) should be the new compulsory purchase scheme from the government. With shelter and room to build wind turbines, and solar and hydro energy, coupled with permaculture home grown foods is the only way (throughout Europe). Whilst the no vote reflects a huge confusion and dissatisfaction with the European model we currently have, other models have even less appeal. The link below (as we have seen above) displays the UK independence party congratulating the Irish NO Vote, well the Irish also Vote NO to an occupied Ulster, and we also vote NO to British Nuclear submarines, which alone can blow up the world 8 times over, and it's intention of adding to Sellafields Nuclear pollution of Ireland, and its intention of adding to their increased reactors all over Britain, particularly its West coast is not a peace process.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6QmH-7fu68&feature=related

proposition, as the system we have is ridiculous, upside down and unnecessary. Many would say its evil, but the world has never before being able to collate these facts so obviously and so easily and make them so visible. The old regime is easily changed. By rejecting this Lisbon treaty, let it be the first step in reform not just in Europe but in Britain, America, Japan and in every continent. Despite the west (where the majority, not all the worlds rich live) owning all the weapons, oil and nuclear threat capability, it is only possible to keep this running by forcing its population into massive debt. A debt which is a burden, a threat to family and civil life, and also unnecessary. Will Europe and America and Britain and Japan engage in fair trade, will they cancel world debt will they stop arms production….well the Lisbon treaty will do none of these things it will increase it all. Will the UK independence party wear Green White and Gold for that ? …they have British passports which makes them Celts (Celtic), which of course is a European wide tribe in the Human race. Interestingly a tribe called the Tuatha De Danaan, as well as settling Erin also (the ancient writings state) settled those lands now called Britain, or Albion…and that‟s why the British are Irish really and they have not just the passports but also the Jumpers to prove it (once again the link below).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6QmH-7fu68&feature=related The Tuatha De Danaan also built large parts of the Tara city complex, which we will discuss, but first let‟s look at Economics of the EU (or anywhere)

Monetarist madness EU & America

http://cepa.newschool.edu/het/schools/monetar.htm

http://www.bized.co.uk/virtual/economy/library/theory/monetarist.htm After the No Vote it‟s apparent that a new referendum across the whole of Europe would produce a massive No Vote. The Farmers still have a veto, and our politicians can still produce a new Europe, negotiate and build it better. Its obvious the world is in recession, yet we still hear daily what is possibly the most absurd expression of modern history “let‟s not talk ourselves into a recession” ? Translated this means “lets not talk the politicians out of their jobs” blaming a financial osmosis distracts the stupid (as the public are viewed) from participating and legitimising an outdated system of voting undemocracy. The current system only allowing for a “fair” vote if a candidate can afford to run, and once elected to then sit back and let the market do next to nothing. Hiving off the budget to oneself or ones friends the goal of winning an election. What is becoming even more obvious and talked and discussed more frequently is the banks role and blame in this so called recession.

In chapter 1 page 2 http://www.sonas.lsaweb.net/downloads/The%20Quest%20for%20Democracy%20in%20Ireland.pdf the Irish minister of defence Willie ODea stated that changing our central banking system from private to public was a “load of Marxist claptrap” displaying his lack of economic knowledge in history and finance in general.

13

3

Since the Irish general election in May 2007, what is no longer considered claptrap is the way Fianna Fail had hid and cobbled the real economic figures to win the election, its not claptrap to say they have stolen Billions away from the Irish people over the last ten years and its not claptrap to say that its not just outside economic forces which are to blame for the current situation in Ireland, it is they who are to blame, its just one long story of corruption and greed. Its also not claptrap to say that there was no negotiation of the Lisbon treaty, just as there was no negotiation of the original treaty of Rome. Irish fishing waters (vastly reduced) are good example of this. Finally it is not claptrap to change the central bank to a publically owned bank, its the best option the world over, ask Gordon Brown who has nationalised Northern Rock after the disastrous policies monetarism adopted around the world. Currently there is a “credit crunch” brought about by the sub-prime mortgages problem (translated ..the cobbling of wages figures in mortgage applications to give credit beyond ability to repay, keeping house sales buoyant) of course this has contributed greatly but its only one brick in the house built on sand. Despite the “credit crunch” (as discussed also in chapter 1and 4 ) the Federal Reserve central bank and many others the world over are in fact printing off credit to pump into the stock exchange and not hospitals or, jobs (share prices aside...many firms starting up take many years if at all to float on the stock exchange) and infrastructure, schools etc...so in fact with the “credit crunch” there is magically a massive “credit glut” ?? How does this work exactly...are some people talking us into a credit crunch and recession, and also simultaneously into a “credit glut” and hopeful prosperity?...except where is the prosperity this talk must have produced..

14

4

Does the average person walk around and say, “i just dont know what im talking about, one minute im saying recession the next im saying boom, im getting confused and i just dont know what im saying” Has any media pundit ever said “careful, or well be talking ourselves into a boom and credit glut” It seems that economic advance by osmosis, is only for a certain class of people, who are talking themselves out of being C1 to become C2's, or perhaps this classification has always been as Marx termed it, with the result that the working class and the bourgeoisie are being misled into believing these states of wealth, deceptive in today‟s world can overnight become the proletariat. Over the last ten months the European Central bank has raised interest rates in the credit crunch (except when it has been producing a credit glut in Billions for the stockmarket ) ? this it hopes will reduce borrowing (crunch it) and prevent inflation. Even after the NO vote they still raised interest rates as before. In the USA the Federal reserve has reduced interest rates in the hope of keeping credit flowing, and also to prevent inflation ?...it also is producing a glut of credit for the stockmarket ? How can this be ? two competing and contrasting techniques in the same Monetarist theory, whilst simultaneously also contradicting its own statements that there is a credit crunch, whilst issuing credit at an unprecedented rate. ? In both, inflation still seems to be rising ?...this is Monetarist policy, and just as it stated that Keynesian economics was flawed so now Monetarist is also flawed, false and now disproved by its actions cited above.

15

5

This is a major observation in economic theory as it shows that prices, cost and labour are controlled to the determent of the world‟s population, and that in fact there is no need for a recession or indeed starvation or poverty, the world is a rich place and its system and distribution is flawed. Not accidentally flawed as the “market” would have us believe but deliberately, and the control of the masses whether working class or middle or upper middle (90 % of the worlds population) is hinged at the fulcrum of the central banking system. Even without the credit cash injections in Billions which ironically proves Monetarism is nonsense, how can two monetarist democracies be highering or lowering interest rates, only to prevent inflation and not succeed in doing so. All of the above money is “borrowed” into the economy

1) Interest is charged on it to governments(us)

2) It is borrowed as an uncancellable debt

3) The amount of money in the economy to repay from earnings or loans is never enough to match the debts of those workers or borrowers who took the loans. This a deliberate central banking policy.

4) Interest and debt contribute massively to inflation and the prices of commodities and wages.

As the recession deepens and tax revenues fall, it will of course be the poor who will be affected by the cutbacks. Benchmarking, the rigged system of wage arbitration which is not independent will kick in and the middle and upper classes will be less affected by wage cuts. All Tds and private firms should forgoe any wage increases, and indeed on performance take a pay cut, whilst the workers should take a pay rise of at least 20%, even while prices may be forced to lower as the “recession” credit crunch deepens.

16

6

Taoischeach designate as he then was in April 2004 (Tanaiste Cowan) warned Unions that it would be 'futile' and 'self defeating' to push up wages in response to rising prices 1 Despite now in July 2008 pointing out that he cannot blame the predecessor for the bad economy since it is himself, we have seen that there is a credit glut as well as a credit crunch, but that credit glut will not go to the peasants but to himself and his colleagues and the stockmakets. One of the bricks in the wall of the credit crunch caused by lenders lending huge debts (that only exist once the debts as loans are requested, produced out of thin air) to people whose wages did not match the price, yet in the credit glut of course their wages could easily have matched that price. The Glut going to the stockmarket's and not to workers wages, Employers are also using the fear of joblessness and the credit crunch to force pay through low pay deals 2 the Irish daily telegraph reported on the 13.12.2007 And this is really confusing the markets as the next day under the heading “Markets confused by banks aid” 3as the markets fell sharply the day before, the worlds biggest central banks attempted to plug the hole by injecting $100 Billion in cash into the stockmarket's. Shares rose, but then fell again at the end of trading. Apart from the confusion over delaying the cash injection by one day, the markets are also confused by a intervention of this kind during a credit crunch...normally the banks do not like to lend to each other, but then economics with its laws and rules no mater how hard the facade tries to present itself are not laws of physics and thermodynamics. One hopeful outcome was “homeowners” as mortgage lenders would feel the benefit...they didn‟t, and they are not “homeowners”.

17

7

The article continues; “their efforts to control the credit markets solely through interest rates and unilateral cash injections was not working” 4 The article refers to the previous months G20 summit of central bankers and finance ministers in South Africa. It also shows that interest rates do not control inflation with or without cash injections, but debt and interest on loans do.(As also the cause) Therefore the solution is to cut interest rates to 0%, and nationalise the banks into public control, being as they are (the public) the majority. Instead the Monetarist claptrap continues with benchmarking cited as the reason for widening the gap between low and high wage earners, with the public sector being the worse off 5 and that is exactly what it is designed to do. Even when an “award” is given no one really knows how or why it is so awarded, as it is not agreed collectively but behind closed doors, with the majority always just failing in their efforts to reach whatever target they were supposed to have reached. Therefore it supports a class system as deliberate policy. This is not a concern however as the main concern is “Banks face meltdown” 6 However the solution to this the Daily Mail positively recommends is to nationalise all the central banks, with the precedent being Gordon Browns lead with the Northern Rock nationalisation.

18

8

What would they do, these nationalised banks...well like the private central banks they would advise that “Soaring food prices could drive hundreds of thousands of people into starvation, the leaders of the World bank and International Monetary Fund have told the worlds financial chiefs” 7 By this it means hundreds of thousands more than the usual victims of world starvation currently starving around the world. What is the solution....(the article sates) print off money into a world food fund !...but isn't there a credit crunch ? Therefore the nationalised bank could provide all of this also, and set higher wages, and encourage free land bought by a mad credit glut where local produce feeds people locally and local materials are self built into a compact and bijou HOME.

Contrast the concern of the central banks with the recent G8 summit in Hokkaido Toyako http://www.wsws.org/articles/2008/jul2008/g8-j09.shtml http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/G8_summit_2008.html where the public (the potential starving) are held back by police whilst the rich attending gorge themselves on the finest foods and are attended to by the low wage earners who are benchmarked into poverty, sorrow and starvation and DEBT. The media is frowning upon the banks. The European central banks are most criticised and are following the tired method of rising of the interest rates to stem inflation and credit borrowing. Slightly less scathing are the media reporting of the actions of the US Federal Reserve s fallows “US Interest rate cuts eases fear of global credit crisis” 8

19

9

It is also hoped in so doing that “spend spend spend” by consumers will stem a recession and share prices rose at the news, but as we have seen on page 17 this is but another way of injecting cash into the markets at the “lower end”. Its a Keynesian idea employed in the 193Os to get an economy moving. One solution cited by Richard DouthWaite in his article 'Currencies and the future of money' 9

in Sustainability magazine ............... http://www.sustainability.ie/magazine.html  Citing the background of Argentina's president Carlos Menem in the early 1990s who in similar circumstances as we have just described in America (spend, spend, spend to get the economy going), decided to have one dollar in reserve for every peso in circulation, this is the same idea or similar to the social creditors method of having one note in reserve or every note in the form of a loan or credit of money produced out of nothing (thin air) including a reserve against the real money circulating. In this way, the social creditors envisaged that at the end of every accounting period the corresponding debt the loans produced would be cancelled out by destroying or burning the notes held in reserve. Every year more money would be produced and destroyed. This would also destroy inflation. Menem however also coupled this approach with privatisation which led to poor working conditions and contracts and eventually “downsized” mass unemployment. See

http://www.economicdemocracy.lsaweb.net/downloads/Chapter%207.pdf

http://www.economicdemocracy.lsaweb.net/downloads/Chapter%206.pdf

http://www.economicdemocracy.lsaweb.net/downloads/Conclusion%20Part%20A.pdf In Argentina Menems idea albeit set against the dollar brought inflation down to 1.5 %., but destroying or burning currency to avoid devaluation was not a part of his plan.

20

0

Summarizing Douthwaites article (Douthwaite does not mention the social creditors).... The social creditors plan was a theory and model set up in an ideal situation (although in Canada they also put their theory successfully into practice), and in Argentina Menems changes went well until international currencies devalued and money flooded out of Argentina. Argentineans then changed Pesos for dollars on a one to one basis and its economy shrank.

This vacuum gave rise to local currencies or the Trueque system http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trueque&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=2&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3DTrueque%26hl%3Den but too many notes printed devalued them in the long run, and faced with very draconian IMF loan proposals it could not borrow to pay for its needs. Argentina like Jamaica was borrowing from the IMF to pay interest on previous IMF loans. This leads to zero investment, imports (American and cheap due to the exchange rates, but sold in dollars rotten food, etc) and cheap land set us a “free enterprise zones” which employ local workers in terrible conditions and abuse them, with no Union representation and private armies of security

The solution Argentina employed was the Patacon http://www.david-boyle.co.uk/funnymoney/tcpoct01.html a new currency, it printed this currency and circulated it. It became so successful that dollars flooded out of the country and the government forced banks to only allow $250 dollars to be withdrawn each week by each person, further boosting the Patacons successful circulation and the link with the dollar was broken in 2001. It could of course circulated without interest.

21

1

This effectively meant it broke from the current world system, with local democracy and economics. The Patacon remained in circulation until 2003 when the IMF applying pressure behind the scenes for many years forced the Argentinean government to exchange the Patacon for pesos on a one to one basis so linking it back into international adjoining currencies. The reasons given were (by the IMF) Argentina would not be able to control its money supply, even though it had of course done just that. Following this lack of control it would also not be able to control its exchange rate and also its inflation, if the provinces kept printing money and issuing it.. Douthwaite adds that a second reason was the real cause of the IMFs concerns, “Another more powerful reason was the federal government felt that the currencies gave the provinces to much autonomy and might even lead to the break up of the economy” 10 The provinces could also have bartered or used a Lets scheme, but it did follow that printing off money throughout Argentina's 24 provinces, and trading them with each other (as with the Trueque currency period) led to a glut of money which became devalued. Whilst work and goods and trade remained the same, the value of the notes became weak and prices became meaningless. Yet once the system coordinated and the Patacon circulated wages and prices stabilised. Central regulation improved its efficiency

Why then did the provinces not control its Trueque system in the same manner, after all a province is an area like a country. Its an important question as of course, centralisation leads to a bureaucracy and

22

2

corruption and stagnation, whereas recklessly printing of notes and not applying value also leads to corruption and the opposite, both of course will crash. Arguments as to the value of labour arise, one mans skill and labour over another and how to pay for it accordingly, especially as labour is measured in time. The Chinese have a saying that a “neighbor nearby is worth more than a relative far away” and an ability to electrically wire a wind turbine may be worth more than golf lessons in one society, but less in another. The only way to really prevent either of the above problems from arising is to cancel the debt the province or country raises at the end of each accounting period, or destroy a fixed number of corresponding notes in circulation at the end of the same period. This means projects are built and paid for and the debt of them is removed and prices and wages are balanced as is inflation.

See http://www.economicdemocracy.lsaweb.net/downloads/Chapter%206.pdf pages 23 - 28 Argentina prospers today by a local economy without IMF loans, (or rather IMF Debts)

http://www.radiohc.org/Distributions/Radio_Havana_English/Radio_Havana_Cuba-06_June_2002 Japan massively alleviated its problems by issuing credit at 0%.We are all a neighbour or relative far or near, can we charge interest on money itself to each other around the planet and hold each other to the debt of that money rather than the debt of work or kindness.

23

3

Douthwaite adds that Ireland may well have to follow the Argentineans example and have a regional economy or a Europe of the regions to strengthen the EU and provide jobs and services and housing locally. A United Ireland free also of Britain and MacDonald's. (the fast food chain, Corporations in general not the Clan) And as the mini budget is unveiled in Ireland (9.7.2008) spending is cut, and borrowing will increase from the private banks, except they are in a “credit crunch”(except to themselves at our expense as we have seen above and in chapter 1) so borrowing will not be allowed, and once again were back in the unnecessary recession, and cycle of no money. Its time to nationalise the banks and have regional currencies, (or nationalise the central banks, like the European central banks and the Fed) and issue currency against much reduced imports to fund public life, and once spent to cancel the debt those works and labour produce = end of recession, end of Billions of borrowed money wasted by idiots, and end of the cycle of boom and bust. Make no mistake a publically owned bank can produce as much wealth as a private, and they can agree currency exchange to make trade fair worldwide. Alternatively we can cut to a pure Barter system and work exchange. Historically these systems eventually produce an item or items which act as a desired item of exchange. It is hoarded and stored and acts like a commodity itself until the storage houses become a bank and more powerful than the society that formed it. This is not to say bartering and work exchange is not valuable, but history shows how it may proceed. Using a paper note as a method of exchange has a drawback unless all in society can get access to where it is produced and distributed and then controlled and its debts (debts to ourselves are cancelled).

24

4

For example

http://www.economicdemocracy.lsaweb.net/downloads/Chapter%203.pdf The question as to how everyone can participate in AN ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY is a problem. However if we view Dail Eireann which is filmed live most days of the week, especially during the Taoiseach's questions, what is the first thing we think of ?....yes it is dull, isn't it. Further it is complete with attempted questions which are not “in order”, or are to be postponed so causing the “voter” to comatose. Many bills or legislation are “Guillotined” and sent into law together as a bundle without debate. Viewing the system at the peak of democracy in action... live, only highlights where democracy is not, or highlights the undemocracy we live in. Did we have months of an election campaign, and hype and voting for that…no of course not.

http://wmtvs.com/live_TV_online_46937.htm Because the debate is not just in the Dail, (which acts to supposedly keep a check on the executive, who have wasted the boom billions over the last ten years) that‟s why we have referendum etc What we need to see live 24/7 is the boardroom of the Irish central bank, and the European central bank, and with a selected group of the public maybe drawn by lottery on rotation, giving out and challenging their decisions live on air. This group is of course superior in rank and morals, and it can be rotated at random with everyone tuning in.

25

5

For example (s)

1) Mrs Coonihan from Clifden in Galway (Random voter) would like a new school for the area…and success she gets it !...the bank of abundance has once again come to the rescue of society. This can continue over ten years until everyone has had a go. It will be the new national development plan and there‟s billions in the credit glut. Just keep talking the credit glut up.

2) Bob in Donegal who wants his town to have a committee against compulsory purchase and vested interests and cheaper goods in tobacco and alcohol and food.

3) Michael in Dublin wants developers who manage to get free enterprise zones with huge areas of land to be (instead) set aside to local committees of the public, to use the land to build public schools and public hospitals with sustainable transport from their “affordable” homes that are easy to reach.

4) Aine in cork wants free childminding at work while she‟s at work. Or better still no work as a child is a full time occupation, until she returns to work.

5) Add your own in here

6) Etc.

Back in the Dial the TDs may well wonder what they were doing in all of this, whilst the cameras role…well in their own words they don‟t like to interfere in the markets, so they could join the Abbey theatre instead. Awaiting the oracle of the G7 meeting the Dublin Government announces its plans to structure the economy as mentioned with its mini budget (8.7.2008)…Cuts, cuts, and more cuts, construction cuts recruitment cuts, hospital cuts and a 3% payroll cut, and the plans for decentralisation, itself a good idea but very badly carried out, are now awry.

A year ago it was the opposite, no problems and all was well, we were told around election time. Bertie Ahern we are informed is off on a very lucrative and well paid lecture tour, presumably informing the lecture circuit how the Celtic tiger was a miracle but without substance, or how it was a miracle to achieve peace and erect a €ten million monument to King William in the Boyne. Or how well Ireland is coping with massive debt All over Europe (and the world) and all debts should be cancelled. Further an up and coming female Economist who wishes to remain anonymous, but who is supporting the Tara campaign suggests that since the banks have accrued such profit even on current mortgages, even if they are only one or two years old (printing money out of thin air etc) and loans of any age, that people in Ireland should scrap those mortgages and loans, but keep the houses and infrastructure (what there is)and tell the inevitable debt collectors and legal agencies to get out of the country immediately, but not to be too aggressive and conduct the rout in a polite and holistic manner...... (to begin with) . A kind of Eco friendly green Cumann Na Ban declaration of independence, we have had enough after 800 years, and we do not want another 800. Thanks very much but slan. Recruits welcome.

27

7

Tara Aside from the corruption and obvious foreign involvement in the destruction of Tara as a city complex, Ireland itself is also in the same condition…in turmoil.

28

8

29

9

Places are limited for all of these events”.

http://www.environ.ie/en/Heritage/ArchitecturalProtectionandHeritagePolicy/AdvisoryService/ It will be coming to a town near you soon, you will note on the site above there is a link to;

http://www.environ.ie/en/Heritage/Archaeology-NationalMonumentsService/ the Archeology – National Monument Service, is a Unit within the Architectural heritage department which amongst other duties is to protect national monuments and Archaeology?.

30

0

31

1

Injunctions should be instigated at every instance against this illegal and as Bono (U2) said himself bad idea of a road.

there is also a Friends of Tara website Instead “planning” is continuing to destroy these ancient sites of mystery, master craftsmanship and beauty, which were built by far superior minds to those today.

http://www.drogheda-independent.ie/news/expert-lashes-bremore-port-location-1400894.html

http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=18219 After the prevention of a large scale demonstration and traditional gathering at Tara for the Summer Solstice 2008, the intention is to place a large fence around the entire hill and charge people entry to it as they do at Newgrange.

GAA in schools for boys and girls train on it for fitness, the Puc Fada begins on it to Kilmessan, groups meet on it, people walk it with their children and for millennia the Irish have gathered there in times of crisis…what do FIANNA Fial do...they prevent people from staying on it (this is Public land and a legal right of way) and will eventually charge people entry to the hill encapsulated by a wall to keep people out. http://www.tarapixie.net/ for latest information

34

4

35

5
